The Versatile Ph.D.

The Versatile Ph.D. is a web-based resource and on-line community for graduate students and alumni who are interested in exploring non-academic careers. The Graduate School has purchased a subscription to all the content available on this service. Graduate student alumni of Ohio State can continue to access this full content up to a year following graduation. You will need to authenticate your Ohio State identity when you access The Versatile Ph.D. After one year as an alumni, you can join The Versatile Ph.D. as an individual subscriber.

Ohio State Alumni Association

All alumni have a free membership to the Ohio State Alumni Association. The Ohio State Alumni Association offers resources and other programs to alumni. It does not distinguish between undergraduate, graduate, or professional alumni. Resources include career services, alumni clubs, discounts with selected vendors, travel, and social networking.


Dossier and credentials service that collects, stores, and manages graduate students' documents relating to job searches and professional portfolios. 

Buckeye Careers

The Buckeye Careers program at Ohio State offers career development assistance, support and resources for all Ohio State student. This is a new project, and resources for graduate students are in development. Many of the materials, however, pertain to any student and alumni population.

Career Connection

Career Connection in the Office of Student Life offers individual career counseling, career assessments, job search materials assistance, and workshops to help you make decisions about career pathways and carry out a job search. Look for targeted materials under the graduate and professional student tab. Resources include job/internship search strategies and "life after college" materials to assist with the transition from student to professional. Buckeye Job Board

A job posting site offered through The Ohio State University Alumni Career Services Office. Positions are submitted for review and posted for 30 days. Questions: Alumni Career Services Office (614) 247-6424.
