M. Scott Herness — April 27, 2016

M. Scott Herness, interim vice provost for graduate studies and dean of the graduate school

Congratulations to the 2,100 Ohio State graduate students who will complete their degrees this spring semester.

At the May 8 commencement, it is my privilege to read the names of each of the 207 doctoral students when they cross the stage to receive their diploma from President Drake.

It is also my privilege to greet our master’s students when they receive their diplomas from the Graduate School deans.

Commencement is a wonderful celebration of what you have achieved and what you hope to accomplish in the future. I look forward to celebrating with you on May 8.

M. Scott Herness is interim vice provost for graduate studies and dean of the Graduate School at Ohio State. Herness is a professor and former chair of Oral Biology in the College of Dentistry and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Neuroscience, College of Medicine.
