Council of Graduate Students

The Council of Graduate Students (CGS) is Ohio State's student government organization for graduate students. Its main purpose is to work towards continual improvement of the graduate student experience at Ohio State. CGS works regularly with the Graduate School and other policy-making bodies.

There are many opportunities for graduate students to get involved with CGS, from serving as a delegate, taking advantage of CGS funding opporunities, and taking part in social events sponsored by CGS. CGS is also the host of the Hayes Research Forum, which is co-sponsored by the Graduate School and Office of Research.

CGS delegates are elected from every graduate program and represent the interests of their constituents at monthly meetings.
