I am pleased to announce the 10 winners of this year’s Graduate Associate Teaching Award:

Over the last several weeks, I made the rounds to surprise these great teachers. Without exception, their students say that they are the among the best teachers they’ve had at Ohio State.

If you are a GTA, I want you to know that I appreciate the great teaching you do every day with Ohio State’s undergraduates.

I also encourage you to nominate yourself and your colleagues for this annual award when the nomination period opens in the fall. 

M. Scott Herness is interim vice provost for graduate studies and dean of the Graduate School at Ohio State. Herness is a professor and former chair of Oral Biology in the College of Dentistry and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Neuroscience, College of Medicine.
