Hayes Research Forum Submission Period Open

M. Scott Herness — October 30, 2015

M. Scott Herness, interim vice provost for graduate studies and dean of the graduate school

The annual Hayes Graduate Research Forum is Feb. 26, and I want to encourage all graduate students to apply to participate by submitting a research abstract by Friday, Nov. 13. To submit an abstract, visit cgs.osu.edu/hayes-forum/.

The Hayes Forum is Ohio State’s signature event highlighting outstanding research by graduate students from across the range of Ohio State’s graduate programs. Cash prizes totalling more than $14,000 will be awarded to the top-judged presentations.

The Graduate School, Office of Research, and the Council of Graduate Students sponsor the forum. Megan Fitze, CGS vice president, is the main organizer and contact fitze.1@osu.edu

I hope you take advantage of this career development opportunity. It's a fun, energizing, and collegial event, and I look forward to meeting you on Feb. 26.

M. Scott Herness is interim vice provost for graduate studies and dean of the Graduate School at Ohio State. Herness is a professor and former chair of Oral Biology in the College of Dentistry and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Neuroscience, College of Medicine.
