NRC Research Doctorate Assessment

NRC releases revised data table, April 21, 2011.

The NRC Research Doctorate Assessment results were released on September 28, 2010. The report contains a very large amount of data on more than 5,000 doctoral programs in 62 fields at 212 institutions.

The assessment is based on a new statistical methodology that the NRC developed for the study, and it presents the data and results in a much different way than previous surveys. The NRC's report brief is a helpful introduction.

Given the complexity of the NRC rankings and dataset, graduate programs are encouraged to work with their college deans and communication experts on communications involving the NRC rankings.
