M. Scott Herness, interim vice provost for graduate studies and dean of the graduate school

Nearly everyone struggles from time to time in graduate school, and talking to a professional can help you gain a different perspective on your situation. The counseling professionals in Ohio State’s Counseling and Consultation Service are here to help.

They understand the concerns of graduate students, including balancing academics, work, and personal life; ambiguity of role and status; funding and finances; graduate school culture, career concerns after graduate school, and more.

If you’re not sure where to start, contact Assistant Dean Ann Salimbene (salimbene.1@osu.edu, 292-6031), and she will help direct you to people who can help.

M. Scott Herness is interim vice provost for graduate studies and dean of the Graduate School at Ohio State. Herness is a professor and former chair of Oral Biology in the College of Dentistry and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Neuroscience, College of Medicine.
