We have a new date for the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. The final is Monday, April 11, in the Wexner Center for the Arts Theater, 4:30-6 p.m. MORE

The 3MT is a competition for doctoral students to “effectively explain their research to a non-specialist audience” in only three minutes and using only one static slide.

My initial announcement in the fall generated a lot of interest, and I’m looking forward to see you compete or join the fun in the audience. Application, Call for Faculty Judges

Find out more about the competition and see videos of past competition winners on the 3MT website.

During the pilot we will be limiting participation to 50 post-candidacy graduate students.

If you have questions or are a faculty member interested in serving as a judge, let us know.

Contact: Kathleen Wallace, assistant dean

M. Scott Herness is interim vice provost for graduate studies and dean of the Graduate School at Ohio State. Herness is a professor and former chair of Oral Biology in the College of Dentistry and holds a joint appointment in the Department of Neuroscience, College of Medicine.
